Selectmen Meeting Minutes
October 6, 2003
Hanson Middle School – Town Meeting was dissolved by the Moderator due to lack of quorum. All articles must be resubmitted and heard at the May 2004 Special Town Meeting.
8:07 p.m. Present: Present were Catherine Kuchinski, Mark Gallivan, Peter Jones, Robert Forte and Jesse McSweeney. Also present were Executive Secretary E. Winn Davis, Executive Assistant Meredith Scozzari and Town Counsel Richard Bowen.
Acting Executive Secretary – The Chairman distributed a proposed agreement with the Acting Executive Secretary. The matter was tabled until October 14th for discussion.
Executive Session – The Chairman announced that the Board would be going into Executive Session under Item #2 to continue the discussion of complaints brought against a public employee. Mr. Grattan previously waived his right to notice.
MOTION by McSweeney, second by Forte to go into Executive Session under Item #2. Roll Call: Kuchinski aye, Gallivan aye, Jones aye, Forte aye and McSweeney aye. Vote 5 – 0.
8:12 p.m. Went into Executive Session
8:43 p.m. Back in open Session – The Chairman announced that one vote was taken to forward a letter to the complainant regarding a Conservation Commission member notifying him that the matter has been reviewed by the Board and the issue is closed.
Lite Control – Mr. Davis informed the Board Mr. Hanscom should be completing his report in the next 48 hours.
Vacation Time – Mr. Gallivan informed the Board that he spoke with Mrs. McCormack regarding her vacation request from January 2, 2004 to January 29, 2004. After lengthy discussion, the Board agreed to grant the vacation as Mrs. McCormack had already purchased her tickets.
MOTION by McSweeney, second by Gallivan to adjourn. Voted 5 – 0.
